There are a lot of things to know about starting a business. The Tennessee Small Business Development Center at Tennessee Tech University will host a seminar June 19 to help would-be entrepreneurs.

The seminar, So, You Want to Start a Business, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19, in TTU’s Johnson 401. TSBDC assistant director John Woodard will lead the seminar and discuss topics including business structures, challenges, planning and finances.

Admission is free, but registration is required. To sign up, visit or call (931) 372-3648. Johnson Hall is at 1105 N. Peachtree Ave. on TTU’s campus.

In addition to seminars, the TSBDC offers free, confidential one-on-one counseling to small business owners and potential entrepreneurs.
