<Graduates who hold bachelor’s degrees from Tennessee Tech University have the highest mid-career median salary potential of any public university graduates in the state with bachelor’s degrees.>
According to Payscale.com, the median salary for a Tennessee Tech graduate after an average 15 years’ experience is $76,400. That figure tops all other Tennessee Board of Regents universities and all University of Tennessee schools. This is the second year TTU has ranked first in the category.
“This report again shows that a student’s investment in a Tennessee Tech education is a great decision because of the potential for career success and reward,” said TTU President Bob Bell.
TTU has the second highest starting median salary of Tennessee public universities at $42,500. This number also ranks above all other Tennessee private institutions on the list, with the exception of Vanderbilt University.
TTU offers six of Payscale.com’s Top 10 College Majors that Lead to High Salaries: chemical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, and applied mathematics.
Tennessee Tech is known as the state’s technological university, but houses six strong academic divisions offering 40 bachelor’s degrees and 23 graduate programs—the College of Agricultural and Human Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Education, College of Engineering and the School of Interdisciplinary Studies.
