Two professional tuba quartets will come to Tennessee Tech University’s Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Bryan Fine Arts Building for recitals this weekend.
The Chattanooga Tuba/Euphonium Quartet will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 21. A tuba professor at The University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, Kenyon Wilson, and Chattanooga Central High School band director Angelo Kortyka are both members of the quartet and are TTU alumni.
Bassi Profundi, a tuba and euphonium quartet from Indiana University, will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 22. The group features two TTU alumni, Cookeville native Curtis Prichard and Oak Ridge native Keith Kile.
Both performances are free and open to the public.
