This performance has been postponed. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

Tennessee Tech University voice professor Frederick Kennedy will offer a free recital featuring a variety of European composers.

Kennedy’s recital will include compositions from Italy, Russia and Great Britain. In addition to performing works by Peter Tchaikovsky and Francesco Tosti, Kennedy will sing an aria from George F. Handel’s oratorio “Samson.” He will also perform Benjamin Britten’s “Canticle I,” which is based on the writings of 17th century Anglican priest Francis Quarles.

Kennedy will be assisted by internationally known pianist Henri Venanzi.

The recital is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Bryan Fine Arts building on TTU’s campus.
