Furniture artist Jenna Goldberg will be at Tennessee Tech University and TTU’s Appalachian Center for Craft Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 20-21, to demonstrate and discuss how she creates her work.
The demonstration will be from 1:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Monday in the front design room of the Appalachian Center for Craft.
Goldberg will give a slide show presentation of her work at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Prescott hall room 215 on TTU’s main campus.
Both events are free and open to the public.
Her pieces involve richly ornamented and developed surfaces through a variety of surface design techniques, including printing, carving and collage. She draws inspiration for her patterns from textiles around the world, especially non-Western cultures..
An award-winning artist, Goldberg’s her work has been exhibited in the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery collection, among other places.
