United Way is in need of about 10 volunteers on Tuesday, Oct. 19, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. (you can volunteer for half of this time as well - whatever fits into your schedule). Cummins Filtration (Fleetguard) is having a fun special event that day on their campus - "Minute To Win It" stations for their employees to participate and raise funds as part of their United Way Employee Campaign.
The event will be outside on their lawn, carnival-like, and an overall fun assignment for all involved. The only requirement is that you must be an outgoing, people person.
Melinda James, Director of United Way, will be out there all day with the volunteers and Cummins employees manning each game station. She suggests this could even be a nice way for some students to meet Cummins management for networking purposes.
James must know if you are interested by the morning of Friday, Oct. 15. She will need to provide names and T-shirt sizes to the Cummins guard shack, and she will also have United Way T-shirts for the volunteers to wear.
To volunteer, contact James at 931-526-2723; leave a message if you do not get an answer or e-mail email@example.com
