Family and friends of Tennessee Tech University graduates can watch commencement ceremonies live this Saturday on their computers and mobile devices.
For the first time, the university website will feature streaming video of both commencement ceremonies.
"We wanted to offer family and friends of graduates who could not attend the ceremonies a chance to be a part of this important occasion," said Matthew Gann, TTU's web and digital media director. "With the help of Gary Bradford in the library's Media Center and Dean Carothers in Photo Services, we are able to bring commencement into everyone's home."
This commencement marks the first time the university will conduct a morning ceremony at 9:30 and an afternoon ceremony at 2. Students of the Colleges of Agricultural and Human Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, and Interdisciplinary Studies will graduate at 9:30 a.m. Students of the Colleges of Business and Education will graduate at 2 p.m.
The video will be presented on the university's homepage at www.tntech.edu. Any browser with Flash will support the video stream.
