thumb WindscapeAttendees at an upcoming concert at Tennessee Tech University will go on a musical journey through time with a New York City-based quintet.

Windscape will play a variety of compositions from the early 18th century to the mid 20th century with pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Gyorgy Ligetti, Maurice Ravel and Antonin Dvorak at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in TTU’s Wattenbarger Auditorium.

The quintet formed in 1994 and has performed across North America and Asia. Members are Tara Helen O’Connor, flute; Randal Ellis, oboe; Alan R. Kay, clarinet; Frank Morelli, bassoon; and David Jolley, horn.

The concert will include commentary about the cultural landscapes of when and where each piece was written. Sponsored by TTU’s Center Stage, it is free and open to the public.

Wattenbarger Auditorium is in the Bryan Fine Arts building at 1150 N. Dixie Ave on TTU’s campus.
