New Student Orientation
Welcome!
After being admitted to Tennessee Tech, orientation is the next important step of your transition process, and we offer a variety of programs for new students and their families. To begin, please select your student type to review the next steps in completing your enrollment to Tech.
Learn more about each of our orientation programs...
- First-Year Orientation (SOAR)
First-year Orientation (SOAR) is designed for first-time college freshmen, under the age of 21, who are admitted for either the summer or fall term.
- Transfer Orientation
Transfer Orientation is designed for new transfer students who have previously attended either a community college or another 4-year university and are admitted for either the summer of fall term.
- Spring Orientation
Spring Orientation is designed for first-time college students (both freshmen and transfer) who are admitted for the spring term.
- Nontraditional Orientation
Non-Traditional Orientation is designed for first-time college students who are at least 21 years of age or older as of the 1st day of classes, or an adult learner.
- International Student Orientation
International Student Onboarding and Orientation is for new, international first-time freshmen and transfer students. The program includes an onboarding segment to assist new international students with processing immigration documentation and other enrollment requirements.
- 2+2 Programs Orientation
