News and Communication
The News & Communication staff work with local and national media contacts to tell Tech's stories. As experienced media and communications professionals, we work to promote a positive image of the university and to share information about the accomplishments of Tennessee Tech students, faculty and staff.
Our primary responsibilities are to create and distribute news releases and to maintain relationships with media representatives. We also write for the university's alumni magazine, Visions, and produce stories and video for the university website and social media sites.
We assist with internal communications as well, and are responsible for Tech Times, the university's daily informative blog and emails.
We encourage administrators, faculty, staff and students to work with us to get the word out about the great things happening at Tennessee Tech.
