Budget Advisory Committee

The Budget Advisory Committee is an advisory body to the President. The committee will acquire knowledge and understanding of University and TBR budgeting process. The committee will review budget requests and make recommendations, within the framework of the University’s strategic plan, on the priorities for funding should funding dollars be available. The committee also reviews and provides input into the budgeting processes as appropriate. The committee will facilitate communication of the University’s operating budget that is transparent and informative.

The Vice President for Planning and Business shall serve as chair of the committee. The committee members shall include the below positions. Additional members may be appointed by the President.

  • President of Faculty Senate
  • Immediate Past President of Faculty Senate
  • Two members of the faculty nominated by Faculty Senate
  • President of SGA
  • Provost
  • Vice President for Research
  • Vice President for Student Affairs
  • Vice President for University Advancement
  • Director of Athletics
  • Chief Information Officer
  • Deans of at least two colleges
  • Director of Internal Audit
  • Associate Vice President for Communications & Marketing
  • Associate Vice President for Facilities
  • Others as appointed by President

The following positions shall serve as ex-officio members of the committee:

  • Associate VP for Business and Fiscal Affairs
  • Director of Budget & Planning
  • Associate VP for Human Resources
  • Associate VP of Enrollment Management and Student Success
  • Director of Institutional Research
  • Assistant Director for Human Resources
