Effective and timely communication during a campus emergency is a priority for students, faculty and staff alike. A reliable solution for broadcast alerting is now available through TTUAlert.

TTUAlert is the system designed to notify students, faculty and staff about emergencies related to the university. TTUalert's main element is text message notifications. When an emergency happens on campus, you will be notified via a text message to your mobile phone, alerting you to possible dangers and/or instructions. As a currently enrolled student, you have been automatically signed up to receive TTUAlert text messages.

If you are a faculty or staff member, click here for sign up information. At this time, faculty and staff members are not automatically enrolled in TTUAlert.

If you have provided your current cell phone number to the university, you are subscribed. You will be prompted every six months in Eagle Online to update your cell phone number.

TTUAlert uses text messaging, plus multiple other communication channels, to provide you with safety and weather alerts, or notification of events that may pose a threat to the university’s ability to conduct regular activities. We strongly recommend you consider maintaining this option as a fast and reliable means of receiving emergency communications.

You are not required to provide the university with your cell phone number and have the right to opt-out of TTUAlert texts. If you do not provide the university with your cell phone number or otherwise opt out of TTUAlert texts, you will NOT be notified via text messaging in the event of a campus emergency.

If you have provided TTU with your cell phone number, you have two ways to opt out. The first is to text replay STOP to any university message. The second is to access your account at  tntech.edu/ttualert/signup and remove your mobile number. Once you have opted out, you will NOT be notified via text messaging in the event of a campus emergency until you opt in via your account at  tntech.edu/ttualert/signup or via Banner.

Again, TTUAlert text messages offer the fastest method of campus emergency communication.

What You Need to Sign Up or Log In

Signing up or logging in to modify your account is simple. All you need are:

  • Your TTU username and password. Your TTU username is your tntech.edu or students.tntech.edu email address. You can reset your password using your email address.
  • The mobile phone you want to receive TTUalerts on, as you will need to confirm the number via your mobile device
  • Sign up or log in to TTUAlert now!
