Be informed. Be connected. Be safe.
Effective and timely communication during a campus emergency is top priority. The university broadcasts alerts via text message through TTUAlert.
When an emergency happens on campus, you will be notified via text of possible dangers and/or instructions. Current students who have given the university their cell phone numbers are automatically signed up to receive TTUAlert texts.
Click here for directions on adding parents, spouses, guardians, or others that would be interested in receiving alerts from Tennessee Tech.
We strongly recommend you maintain your information in TTUAlert to receive fast and reliable emergency messages. You will be prompted every six months in Eagle Online to update your cell number.
You are not required to give TTU your cell phone number and you have the right to opt out of TTUAlert texts. Opt out by replying “stop” to any university text message or access your TTUAlert account and uncheck the box named “text” under the Groups tab at https://www.getrave.com/login/tntech. You may opt back in by accessing your account and checking the box named “text” under the Groups tab at any time.
TTUAlert texts are the fastest method of campus emergency communication. TTUAlert also has other elements, including posts on Tennessee Tech's social networking sites, such as Twitter and Facebook, and messages on webpage banners, on-campus computers and digital signs.
