Distress Protocol Workshop
3-4:30 PM RUC 101 

All Academic Affairs faculty and staff are invited to join the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFÉ) and the Tennessee Tech University Counseling Center for a workshop on the student distress protocol.

The Tennessee Tech University Counseling Center is committed to providing resources to ensure that a student in crisis is responded to quickly, responsibly, and in an empathetic manner. A distressed student may also display disruptive behaviors, which may be covered by student conduct policy, and not be addressed directly by this protocol. This protocol is designed to provide guidance to the campus community. It defines how to:

• Ensure a coordinated crisis response and review process.
• Recognize the signs that a student may be in distress;
• Establish a consistent framework for responding to the student in distress

Refreshments will be served.

Divisive Concepts Legislation 
3-4:30 PM  RUC 101

Faculty are invited on October 25th from 3-4:30 PM to hear a presentation by our University Counsel about the state’s divisiveconcepts legislation and will have the opportunity to ask questions. This professional development workshop is sponsored by the Faculty Senate, University Counsel, and the CAFÉ. Afternoon refreshments will be provided. To ensure sufficient seating, please register in advance!
