Entering the Building

Your activated Eagle Card or membership card must be scanned or presented to the front desk employee each time you enter the building. For security and safety of our members, individuals unable to present a card will be denied access to the facility.


Eligible members include currently enrolled full time and part time students, Full-Time faculty and staff, alumni and their spouses and dependents,* and retired faculty and staff. Students taking 6 or more hours of credit classes are automatically members as part of their general access fee.

TTU campus community is eligible to purchase memberships. Spouses and dependents* of these eligible members may also purchase a membership once the eligible person has purchased one.

* Eligible child dependents are those under the age of 22.

Persons auditing a course are not eligible to purchase a membership.

Retired Faculty and Staff

Retirees from Tennessee Technological University are eligible to receive a free lifetime membership, which includes a spouse. Please come to the Fitness Center during office hours and we will get you started.

**Locker and towel rentals are not included in the free membership and are charged at the yearly rate of $35 per locker or towel, per person. Punch cards and any other programs and services are not included in this offer but are available for purchase.

Eligible Non-Member Cards

If an eligible person chooses not to purchase a membership, he/she can still use the Fitness Center for a daily $5.00 fee. To assist you in admittance to the center, a free eligible non-member card will be issued in the main office, Room 118. The card is good for one year from date of issue.

If you fall into one of the above membership categories, please feel free to come into the Membership Office, Room 118, in the Fitness Center, to fill out paperwork.


To ensure the safety of everyone using the fitness center, an adult must accompany children under the age of 16 at all times during their visit.

Children must be at least 18 years of age to attend fitness classes. For the child's safety, weight room and cardiovascular room equipment are off limits! The equipment in these areas is not properly sized for children and could result in injury.  A family changing room is available and can be found next to the women's pool locker room.

Purchasing a Membership

Memberships are purchased in the main office of the Fitness Center, Room 118, during regular business hours. Signing up takes roughly 10 minutes and involves the eligible member filling out an application.

Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.

Payroll Deduction

*Monthly payroll deduction is available for full time, permanent employees* of Tennessee Tech University. This option includes a monthly deduction from the employee's paycheck.  Family members can be added for an additional fee. Total for a family membership using payroll deduction is $23 per month. (Excludes addition of lockers and towels).

The payroll deduction program is automatically renewed.  Special termination exceptions are at the discretion of the Director of Campus Recreation and may include illness, injury, or change of employment status with the university.

*Adjunct faculty and temporary staff, employees of ROTC, Chartwells, and Campus Ministry are not eligible for the Payroll Deduction program, but may purchase a membership at the Faculty/Staff rate.

Lost Cards

Lost or stolen cards will be replaced in the same office that issued them for a fee of $25 to the member. The primary member must come in during office hours to request a replacement card for family members. Students who have lost their Eagle Card must go to the Eagle Card Office, Room 230, of the Roaden University Center.
