Chemical engineering assistant professor Robby Sanders is part of a larger partnership between the Colleges of Engineering and Business to help students learn to work together across academic disciplines. Business students take products created by engineering students and build business plans.
“It’s almost like a coin,” he said. “The engineering teams have been looking at one side of the coin but through correspondence with the business students, they saw the other side. It’s taking the innovation and going to market and making a business. It’s all the same coin, just different sides.”
The partnership is growing and will eventually include other TTU colleges and schools as well. As working professions have to work with people from other areas of expertise, so to is the university working to give our students the same experience.
