Engineers Week 2023

This week is National Engineers Week!!! This is a week where we raise public awareness of engineers' positive contributions to the quality of life. At Tennessee Tech, we have a little departmental completion to help celebrate this week along with seeing who's "The Best Darn Major".

Thank you for bearing with EJC as we have worked to provide you with the official 2023 E-Week Handbook. Also a big thanks to those who were able to attend our first event yesterday! I hope to see all of you in the coming days.

Sadly, this year we will not be able to have the traditional cardboard canoe race. All pool facilities are closed, and due to events during the summer in the BURN, we are not able to have it there as well. We know this was an event everyone looked forward to so we are working hard to see if we can find activities to make up this event. Follow us on Instagram @tntechejc to keep up with all updates we have involving E-Week.

This week we have a volunteer event we would like the college of engineering students to assist with, it will not count for points but your help will be greatly appreciated. Help us with outreach with 4th graders by assisting in pre-planned STEM-based activities! If you would like to be involved please email STEM Coordinator at cgalindo@tntech.edu.

Lastly, for Mr. and Mrs. Engineer please try to get us your nominees by Wednesday @ 4:30 PM. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or our E-Week Chair, Lakayleh, at lahelton42@tntech.edu.

Best Regards,
