Co-chairs Tom Payne and Lisa Zagumny opened up the meeting with a video of “The Road to Abilene” to share that the strategic planning process involves active participation to reach an end product that is vetted and reflects the vision of everyone involved.
Members moved into a discussion on the strengths of Tennessee Tech. Among some of the strengths discussed were the high value for students, collegiality among faculty, and interdepartmental relations. The group also discussed what differentiates Tennessee Tech. Some of the highlights included ready-to-work students and the various opportunities available to the students.
The meeting ended with a summary on the stakeholder engagements and committee members volunteered to facilitate various sessions in the coming weeks.
