Christina L. Mick is employed as Assistant Director of Clinical Services at Tennessee Technological University Counseling Center Dr. Mick is an Approved Clinical Supervisor, Certified Prevention Specialist, Licensed School Counselor, Certified Special Education Teacher and trained Education Consultant. She has been providing counseling services to the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee since 1994. She earned a Master of Arts of Degree in Educational Psychology and Counselor Education in 1998. Dr. Mick earned a Specialist in Education Degree in Educational Psychology and Counselor Education in 2002. Both degrees were received at Tennessee Technological University. She received her Doctor of Education degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University, Nashville. Areas of interest and expertise include clinical supervision, counselor education, educational consultation, and primary prevention. Training and experience also include group counseling, family counseling, independent living skills training and therapy for PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse, non-suicidal self-injury, suicidal ideation, and self-esteem. Dr. Mick has worked as a crisis counselor and conducted therapy several years at three residential treatment facilities. She is married with two children. Dr. Mick is a lifelong resident of Putnam County and a veteran of the Tennessee Air National Guard.

I graduated from Kent State University in 1995 with a BA in Criminal Justice. I went on to attend the University of Akron where I earned a degree of Master of Arts in Education in 1997. I have worked in public mental health and in private practice before joining the clinical staff at Tennessee Tech University Counseling Center. I have vast experience in working with AD/HD, Depression, Gender Identity Issues as well of an array of other mental health concerns.
