What is your favorite thing about TTU?

The size of the campus and amount of students makes for a friendly environment where you will see your friends around campus all the time. Even people you don’t know are also nice.

What is your most memorable TTU experience so far?

For me, I will never forget my Week of Welcome. I met so many people and learned about the various opportunities and organizations on campus. Ultimately, the events during that week are what helped me choose who I wanted to be in college.

How did you choose your major?

I knew coming into college that I wanted to go to Pharmacy School, so I came in majoring in Chemistry. However, I’ve always liked math, and I wanted to continue learning more and more about it, so I was pointed in the direction of Chemical Engineering, which pretty much made my mind up for me.

What is your favorite meal at TTU?

When the cafeteria has buffalo chicken for lunch, I never miss it.

Advice for incoming college freshman from your experience so far?

As an incoming freshman, I think it is important to use time management to balance both the academic and social life of college.

What is your favorite TTU Tradition and why?

My favorite tradition at TTU has to be Kazoo band during the Homecoming Parade every year, because I know everyone watching the parade looks forward to the group of crazily dressed guys who play kazoos and sing to the kids on the sidewalks. If you haven’t heard of it, definitely check it out.

What kind of extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus and in the community?

On campus, I am currently involved in Greek Life, Mortar Board, and Chemical-Medical Club, and I am currently trying to get involved in Student Government.

What movie star would you play in a movie? Why?

I would play Liam Neeson, because he always plays awesome roles and has a really rare set of skills in all of his movies that I wish I had in real life.

What was your biggest mistake as a freshman? What did you learn from that experience?

My biggest mistake was not getting to know the people in my residence hall better. They should have been a great way to really get a close group of friends. I took away from the experience that you should always take advantage of the opportunities that are set before you.

What is your favorite book?

I don’t have a favorite, but I am currently reading The Alchemist, and I am enjoying it a lot.
