Yes, we encourage students' parents/guardians to come with them to Spring Orientation. However, due to limited seating, students may only register a maximum of 2 guests.
"Living and Learning Villages" have been established at many universities nationwide and provide an opportunity for students to get involved within their campus community. Each year TTU establishes a new "Village" focused around a common theme. Students living on or off campus are encouraged to participate. Advisement/registration sessions for Spring admitted transfer and new first-year students are available by appointment ONLY. Transfer and first-year students should contact their advising center/academic department for a personalized advisement and registration appointment. Advisement for the Spring 2015 Term begins on November 3, 2014 and continues through January 16, 2015. Students must be admitted before making an advisement appointment.
Currently, Spring Orientation is free for Spring 2015 admitted Transfer and First-Year (Freshman) students and their guest.
Transfer and first-year students who attend Spring Orientation in January will be able to move in to their assigned hall on Thursday, January 15 from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Please visit the Residential Life website at http://www.tntech.edu/reslife/ or call (931) 372-3414 for more information. *Remember: Spring Orientation check-in begins at 11:30 A.M. Cental on January 15, 2015.
One Spring Orientation session is available at the beginning of the Spring semester. If a student is unable to make it to the schedule session, they will NOT be able to reschedule. We encourage students to make plans accordingly and attend the schedule session prior to the start of their upcoming admitted semester. Students who no longer plan on attending TTU for the Spring should contact the Office of Admissions to change their admitted semester to either Summer or Fall. You may contact the Office of Admissions at email@example.com with your Tech ID Number, Full Name, and intended semester.
Students who register for classes after the "Early Registration" period for the Spring term will have to "Pay/Confirm" their schedule by January 7, 2015. Students who register for classes during the "Regular Registration" period will need to "Pay/Confirm" their schedule by January 18, 2015. Students who do not pay & confirm by the above deadlines might have their schedules purged/deleted and will be required to re-register for the Spring semester.
Students who no longer plan on attending TTU should complete the Not Attending Form. If you are unable to access this form please call the Office of Admissions 1-800-255-8881 or the Office of Orientation and Student Success (931) 372-3245 and we will be able to assist you with your decision.
