Tennessee Tech Intramural Sports

The Intramural Sports Office offers Tennessee Tech students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to participate and compete against each other in a fun and safe recreational sports atmosphere offering twenty-four leagues and tournaments to the diverse Tennessee Tech community.

INTRAMURAL SPORTS

 

African Students Union (ASU)- A group of students interested in promoting cultural and general awareness of Africa and its history. Contact Dr. Daniel Badoe at dbadoe@tntech.edu 

Bangladeshi Student Association- To promote cultural, social and national value of Bangladesh. To develop leadership, social, communicative and self-reliance skills among members. To extend students involvement on campus and within the community. To help incoming Bangladeshi students settle in at Tennessee Tech. Contact Dr. Sheikh K. Ghafoor at sghafoor@tntech.edu 

CSSA- Chinese Student and Scholar Association- an organization that sponsors social and cultural activities, develops friendship and coordination among Chinese students and scholars. French Club (Avant-Garde)- To promote interest in the French Language and Culture. Contact Dr. Debbie Barnard, dbarnard@tntech.edu

Indian Association - a unique organization that upholds the culture, tradition and rich Indian heritage. International Business Association- To create a base of support for students with an interest in international business and political affairs. Contact business@tntech.edu

Japanese Club- To promote students to learn Japanese culture and Japanese language. Contact Dr. Motoya Machida at mmachida@tntech.edu 

Mate Masie Ghanaian Drum and Dance Club- To promote the art and culture of Ghanaian drumming and dancing across campus and the community through performance of traditional Ghanaian pieces. To give members an additional source to organize the study and performance of this material. Contact Cale Koester, ckoester@tntech.edu 

Model UN- To provide students with a forum to discuss international topics, to guide such discussions, to improve speaking, debate, and parliamentary skills, to represent the organization in national and international competition. To increase awareness of internationals affairs for the member, the campus and the community. To facilitate consensus building while dealing with pressing international issues.. One World - all about introducing people and interacting with different cultures from around the world, ultimately to achieve understanding and harmony. Members of One World have found that we all have a lot in common no matter where we are from. Open to all majors. SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers)- the leading social-technical organization whose primary function is to enhance and achieve the potential of Hispanics in engineering, math and science.
