Art Tour Oaxaca Mexico

This Faculty-led program to Oaxaca, Mexico will be led by Carol Ventura andpottery Kim Winkle.  The class associated with this program is ART 4100. Sample Itinerary

Saturday, March 11th: Fly to Oaxaca, check into hotel and walk through town center.
Sunday, March 12th: Textile Museum, Oaxaca Regional Museum in the Convent of Santo Domingo, free afternoon.
Monday, March 13th: Travel to Monte Alban (ruins) and Atzompa (ruins and ceramics).
Tuesday, March 14th: Travel to Mitla (ruins), lunch at Mezcal distillery, and travel to Teotitlan del Valle (foot-loom woven wool).
Wednesday, March 15th: Travel to San Bartolo Coyotepec (black pottery and cochineal dying), free afternoon.
Thursday, March 16th: Travel to San Martín Tilcajete (carved and painted wood sculptures), free afternoon.
Friday, March 17th: free day.
Saturday, March 18th: free day.
Sunday, March 19th: Fly back to Nashville from Oaxaca.
