University Connections is a program with courses specially designed to help new students build the academic, social, and professional connections needed for a successful college career at Tennessee Tech. In this one-credit hour course, students will be introduced to an assortment of University services, academic skills, friendships, and experiences that will make his/her adjustment to the vibrant life of our campus much easier.
Peer Mentor Application
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic upperclassmen to serve as University Connection Peer Mentors during the Fall 2015-Spring 2016 academic year. Peer Mentors work with University Connections instructors to support the transition of new freshman students into Tennessee Tech's academic community. Mentors will work both inside and outside of the classroom to foster a personal relationship with new students and help with build a enriched, educational experience at Tennessee Tech during the first-year experience. The role of a peer mentor exists to co-navigate transitional challenges of the freshman year. For more information about this role visit: Peer Mentor Program.
