Advancement Services is responsible for providing the primary support for fund raising and alumni relations. There are five distinct units within Advancement Services – Gift and Pledge Services, Records and Research Services, Information Systems, Stewardship Services and Financial Services. Altogether these areas provide the majority of the infrastructure support of fund and friend raising to help foster internal and external relationships.
Gift and Pledge Services
Gift and Pledges Services is responsible for accepting, depositing, processing and acknowledging all philanthropic gifts to the University and TTU Foundation. This unit provides the tax documentation for donors as well as basic stewardship of the gift and donor. Also, this unit is responsible for the matching gift program and pledge commitments.
Records and Research Services
Records and Research Services is responsible for all constituent data within our fund raising information system. This includes the entry, upkeep and retrieval of constituent data to facilitate and enhance fund and friend raising initiatives. This unit also provides prospect research and management services to the fund raising staff as well as the executives of the University and Foundation Board.
Information Services is responsible for the care and maintenance of our information systems, primarily Raiser’s Edge, reporting services, and long-term information technology planning. This unit works as a liaison with the University central IT operation for coordination of projects.
Stewardship Services is responsible for ensuring the donor and their gifts are recognized and appreciated. This unit will coordinate all major gift recognition and annually report to scholarship and endowment donors.
Financial Services is responsible for the smooth operation, care and maintenance of the University’s resources with respect to fund and friend raising initiatives. This unit monitors all budgets as expenses related to fund and friends raising and provides guidance and direction on the use of funds.
