The deadline for submitting 2011-12 Caplenor Faculty Research Award is Friday.
No individual may nominate more than one person. The award consists of an honorarium, plaque and listing on the plaque in DerryBerry Hall and is given to recognize research achievements.
Established in honor of the late former associate vice president for research and dean of instructional development Charles Donald Caplenor, it is presented at the December commencement.
To qualify, most of the research must have been done while the nominee was employed by TTU; individuals may be nominated for an outstanding career of research at TTU or for a single significant accomplishment; and any full-time Tennessee Tech faculty member with at least three academic years of service prior to nomination is eligible. Previous winners of the award will not be eligible for nomination for five years.
