Provide power for anyone on the go on campus with mobile device charging stations, now available for purchase through a university contract.
Mobile device charging stations have emerged as an increasingly valuable student service, and they are a nice amenity for faculty, staff and visitors too.
Through Kwikboost, departments or offices can offer a full-speed, multi-device charger that will charge more than 95 percent of devices through Apple, micro and mini cables. One standard outlet will provide the power for four to eight full speed charging cables.
To see samples of the wall-mounted or portable devices, visit http://www.kwikboost.com.
“Many college customers purchase multiple chargers so they can spread them around their facility. Most schools mount a few of the chargers around the locations where students tend to spend the most time and then keep a few chargers as floaters so they can move them around for meetings and other events,” said Tammy Cobb, TTU telecommunications manager.
“With the cooperation of telecommunications, facilities and communications, we are offering the opportunity to give our students an amenity that fits their lifestyles,” she said.
To purchase a mobile charging station, contact Cobb at 931-372-3800. She will help you contact Kwikboost. After the station is purchased, submit a work order request with Facilities Services for any electrical needs or to install a wall-mounted unit. The Office of Communications and Marketing will provide graphic design for the stations.
The contract limits the total number of units we can purchase this year, so order quickly.
