The Tennessee Board of Regents approved our university's compensation plan in its quarterly board meeting, allowing the plan to go into effect Oct. 1.
As previously outlined in an August story in Tech Times, some employees will receive an additional raise effective Oct. 1 to bring them up to the minimum of their new pay grade.
Each employee will receive a letter from Human Resources in October containing information about his or her new pay grade and salary according to the new compensation plan.
Clerical and support staff can view the skill-level chart and comparison chart, as well as a job title list, at http://www.tntech.edu/hr/class/.
The rollout of administrative titles will not take place until at least January 2012. Administrative and professional staff grades can also be found at http://www.tntech.edu/hr/class/.
The board also approved a $1,000 service payment for each TTU employee who has achieved two years of service as of Sept. 30. The one-time payment will be in the Oct. 31 paycheck.
