The Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs Search Committee will hold a series of feedback sessions as part of the search process. Each of these sessions will be facilitated by members of the Provost Search Committee and will be open to faculty, staff, students, stakeholders and the community.  The dates, times and locations of these meetings are:

Tuesday, Feb. 26, 11 a.m. – noon, Derryberry Auditorium
Thursday, Feb. 28, 11 a.m. – noon, Derryberry Auditorium
To complete our search successfully, we must act in the best interest of all those who care deeply about the university. Listening to the ideas, viewpoints, and opinions of the faculty, staff, students, stakeholders and the community is vital to the process. In preparation for these events, and in an effort to make our time together as productive as possible, we hope you will spend some time considering the following questions and will come prepared to share your thoughts on these major themes:

1.      In what positive ways has the University, and in particular the academic enterprise, changed in the past four years?  What are the highlights that we should be sure to stress in order to attract top-notch candidates to consider the role?
2.      Given a changing context nationally and within Tennessee Tech, what challenges and opportunities should be the priority of the Provost in the first two or three years in the position?
3.      Given those challenges and opportunities, what do you feel are the most important professional skills and personal attributes that we will need to seek as we search for the best person to fill this role?
For individuals who cannot attend these sessions, you will be able to provide feedback to the committee on the three themes above at <> .  The survey will close on Friday, March 1, 2013.  Online submissions will be used for the search committee's purposes only.
