The spring early registration fee payment/confirmation deadline is Jan. 8, 2014, and fees must be paid, enrollment confirmed, or the “save your seat” option requested by then. Fee payment and enrollment confirmation is ongoing. Save your seat will be available Jan. 6.
Students who have selected a schedule but decide not to attend will be encouraged to notify the bursar as soon as possible to open seats for other students. This is critical due to the elimination of the early registration purge process.
Students will continue to receive reminders from the bursar and campus departments about enrollment status. They must meet the Jan. 8 deadline so the bursar can process excess aid and allow use of meal plan selections at the start of the semester.
The save your seat request is not enrollment confirmation but guarantees that the class schedule will remain in place until the regular registration purge. To avoid schedule deletion, students must follow through and pay fees/confirm enrollment before the regular registration deadline, which will be Jan. 16 instead of Jan. 22 as previously scheduled.
Any unconfirmed schedules will be deleted in the regular registration purge at 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17. To take advantage of resulting open seats, students may continue to register through Tuesday, Jan. 21, and add classes through Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Video tutorials about fee payment and enrollment confirmation are available on the Bursar’s website. For more information, email the bursar at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Business Office at 372-3311.
This article pertains to the schedule deletion process initiated by the Business Office which must take place as a result of students either not paying fees or not confirming enrollment. The article does not pertain to the pre-requisite purge or to the suspension purge which are separate processes initiated by the Registrar’s Office.
