Paul Ethridge is a successful business executive with an extensive background leading Human Resources teams in the entertainment, banking, and healthcare industries. He has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Tennessee Tech since 2018. Paul was also an adjunct professor at the School of Engineering at Vanderbilt University from 2010 to 2012.
From 2012 to 2016, he was Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Good Start Genetics, a startup next generation DNA sequencing diagnostic company in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Prior to joining Good Start Genetics, Paul had been Global Vice President of Human Resources for the Consumer Healthcare Manufacturing division of GlaxoSmithKline with responsibilities for more than 31 manufacturing sites in 19 countries around the world. In more than 20 years working at GlaxoSmithKline and its predecessor, SmithKline Beecham, Paul also led the HR function for Diversified Pharmaceutical Services, a pharmacy benefit management company in Bloomington, Minnesota, and held HR leadership positions within SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories in Atlanta and Nashville.
Starting his career in Nashville, he led HR teams at First American Corporation, a regional bank holding company, and Opryland USA, where he was Director of Personnel for the Opryland theme park, the Grand Ole Opry, and the Nashville Network.
Paul earned a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and an M.B.A. from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
Nashville natives, Paul and his wife, Pamela, returned home to Tennessee moving to Cookeville in 2017. They are proud parents of Paul Jr. who lives in Philadelphia, and Katie, who lives in Denver.
