Dr. Nattrass, an Assistant Professor of Agronomy & Soils, expertly guides students in the Agronomy & Soils and Environmental Agri-science concentrations. Focused on soil and crop-related courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, he equips graduates for success in growing industries—Precision Agri-tech and Soil Sciences. Driven by a teaching philosophy that centers on meeting students at their individual levels, he mentors them into capable, confident, and competitive professionals within their chosen career fields.

Passionate about integrating cutting-edge technologies, Dr. Nattrass applies innovative methods to expose students to real-world challenges and potential solutions. His research concentrates on SmartFarm technologies, particularly in enhancing nutrient management in crop production systems. With a vision for the future, he aims to implement drone technologies and on-farm sensors to improve production efficiency and profitability in the TN Upper Cumberland region. Dr. Nattrass is not just an educator; he is a catalyst for transformative learning and impactful agricultural advancements.
