Tony Baker is an English professor at Tennessee Tech University, where he directs the first-year composition program and teaches courses in writing, rhetoric, literature, research, and writing pedagogy. As director of the Upper Cumberland Writing Project, he regularly conducts workshops on writing instruction for P-16 teachers. Baker’s research interests include writing pedagogy, graphic novels, portrayals of disabilities, and writing program administration. He holds degrees from Indiana University (BA in English) and University of Louisville (MA in Literature, PhD in Rhetoric and Composition).
