Monic Ductan teaches American literature, African American literature, and creative writing workshops in both fiction and nonfiction. She enjoys reading Southern and Appalachian literatures. Dr. Ductan's writing has appeared in Oxford American, Shenandoah, South Carolina Review, Appalachian Review, and several other journals. She’s the author of Daughters of Muscadine, a book about working-class Black women in a small, Georgia town.
