I have been a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Tennessee Tech University since 2005. My research interests are in the areas of commutative ring theory and number theory and center on probabilistic questions in these contexts. I have supervised 7 master’s theses and led 12 undergraduate research projects. I am particularly passionate about giving students the opportunity to present their research at various seminars and conferences.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I especially love baking with my daughter (our favorite thing to make is brownies). In order to burn off the excess calories, I do various home projects and work out at Planet Fitness three times a week. I am also a Sunday school teacher and a deacon at First Baptist Church of Cookeville.
