Michelle Johns is a Lecturer with a rich academic and interdisciplinary background. Before arriving at Tennessee Tech University in the Fall of 2025, she taught at Louisiana State University Shreveport for five years. Michelle holds a Ph.D. in Jewish Studies, along with Master of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice, Jewish Studies, Rabbinic Studies, and Sociology. Dr. Johns' teaching portfolio includes a broad spectrum of Criminal Justice courses. Her most notable instructions are in Juvenile Delinquency and Criminology. Her professional passion lies in the advocacy, rehabilitation, and protection of juveniles. Beyond the classroom, Michelle is a self-proclaimed “Yarnologist” who finds joy and creativity in knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, and other yarn-related arts. This unique blend of intellectual rigor and artistic passion defines her both professionally and personally.
