About
Carrie Thompson has been a language educator since 2009, with teaching experience spanning both public and private institutions across K-12 and higher education. She holds an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction, an M.A. In English, and a B.A. in Humanities.
Her research examines the literacy practices, identity negotiation, and agency of (im)migrants and refugees in new linguistic contexts. She is particularly interested in how language acquisition serves as a mechanism for empowerment.
