Leslie Suters has a Ph.D. in Teacher Education with a Science Concentration and a minor in instructional technology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She teaches elementary mathematics, science, and technology methods courses to K-5 preservice teachers in TTU’s 2+2 program at multiple sites. She has developed, led, and participated in numerous multi-year STEM professional development programs for K-12 educators. Her research interests include collaborative professional learning opportunities for teachers with a focus on computational thinking, literacy integration, and diversity, equity & inclusion within STEM courses. She previously taught 4th-8th grade in Jefferson and Knox County Schools. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her family & pets.
