Craig Dettman received an M.F.A. in Theatrical Lighting Design and Technology from San Diego State University.  He served as Professor of Lighting and Sound Design, Production Manager, and Head of Design at The University of Southern Mississippi for 17 years.  He has worked with the San Diego Opera, The Old Globe in San Diego, The San Diego Civic Dance Association,  Jean Issacs Dance Company, The La Jolla Playhouse, The Theatre in Old Town, Lambs Players, and The San Diego Rep, among others.  Dettman was the Technical Director/Set Designer for two seasons with Native Voices in Los Angeles CA. He was the Technical Director/Designer with Canyon Crest Academy for the Performing Arts in San Diego. In Texas, He was the Technical Director/Lighting Designer for Zarzuela El Paso, a Spanish opera company that toured throughout the region including Northern Mexico.  He also worked on many local IATSE stage crews with the Don Haskins Center and the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso and Texas Stadium in Dallas with acts such as Journey, Motley Crue, George Strait, and U2 among others.
