Mechanical Engineering
What is the FE Exam?
The Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam covers a wide range of engineering principles, from mathematics to ethics and professional practice, to mechanical materials and mechanical design and analysis. Although taking the FE exam is not a graduation requirement for mechanical engineering majors, you may want to still consider taking it. The FE exam will start you on the path to becoming a professional licensed engineer (P.E.). It is designed for recent graduates and students who are close to finishing an undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, which Tennessee Tech is. Having the P.E. credential is another way to set yourself apart from other job candidates after graduation.
