Financial Aid Office

There are a few scholarships administered by the Financial Aid Office that are offered only to Mechanical Engineering Students. The table below shows only scholarships for Mechanical Engineering students and the criteria you must meet to be considered for one.

  • Must be a Maury County, Tenn., high school graduate - First preference given to Columbia High School graduate, second preference to ROTC cadet
  • Must be ME Major
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA
Hudy C. Hewitt, Jr. Mechanical Engineering Scholarship Endowment amount varies
  • Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in ME
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
Mechanical Engineering Scholarship Endowment (Brown) typically $1,000
  • Must be a junior ME major
  • Must be enrolled full-time
  • Must demonstrate good character
  • Must have best academic record within class or category
  • Must not have received other significant scholarships for the year
  • Factors such as financial need, expressed interest, and percentage of work done at Tennessee Tech may be taken into consideration
Mechanical Engineering Scholarship Endowment (Masoud) typically $1,000
  • Must be an international student
  • Must be enrolled full-time
  • Must demonstrate good character
  • Must have best academic record within class or category
  • Must not have received other significant scholarships for the year
