Child Life

The child life program, a gateway to the Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credential, is coordinated with the Child Life Council’s professional, programmatic and educational needs of the child life practitioner. A Child Life Specialist serves as a part of a multidisciplinary team serving children and families during the hospitalization of children. The role for the CLS is expanding to include children of adult patients and specialty areas such as outpatient health care facilities, specialized camps, funeral homes and hospices.
