The Music Performance program with an emphasis in Composition trains students to create original works for diverse ensembles and settings. Combining intensive study in theory, orchestration, and performance with hands-on opportunities to showcase new music, this program prepares graduates for advanced study and dynamic careers in composing. Admission to the performance option is by recommendation of the studio instructor. Students in this option select an emphasis in composition, instrumental, jazz, piano or vocal performance.
