Performance, Composition Emphasis

With a Bachelor of Music in hand, students follow a common path toward an advanced degree at the master and doctoral levels. Most musicians engage in a mix of jobs and professional activities combining the roles of performer, composer, contractor, teacher, arts administrator, continuing student, volunteer, or music technologist. Admission to the performance option is by recommendation of the studio instructor. Students in this option select an emphasis in composition, instrumental, jazz, piano or vocal performance.
