Accelerated Nursing

The Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree program provides a high-quality professional nursing education with an emphasis on meeting the health needs of rural and semi-rural communities. Specifically, this program provides opportunities for students to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills that form the basis for professional nursing practice. The program emphasizes the utilization of the nursing process, which includes critical thinking and decision-making in planning, implementing, and evaluating health care services.

Students who have already completed a Bachelor’s degree are eligible for admission into either the regular B.S.N. degree concentration or into an accelerated B.S.N. concentration that is limited to only these students.  General education courses are waived due to students’ previous degrees; however, students must still complete science prerequisites and American History coursework prior to enrollment into accelerated B.S.N. coursework.
