Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) prepares advance practice nurses to deliver healthcare from adolescence to older adults in hospitals and clinic settings focusing on management of clients across acute care settings in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. Graduates are eligible for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner national certification examination.
Admissions Requirements
Students seeking admission to the Master of Science in Nursing program are required to have:

- Licensure: Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee or in the state in which your clinical assignments will be completed;
- Bachelor’s GPA: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with an overall GPA of 3.0. Provisional admission for students with below a 3.0 may be considered only on a case-by-case basis.
- Required Courses: Completion of or planned enrollment in: advanced pathophysiology, advanced pharmacology, advanced health assessment.
