'Transfer Tech to You' events set for late March, early April
Tennessee Tech University is making it easier than ever for transfer students to explore all that Tech has to offer — right in their hometowns. Three new “Transfer Tech to You” events are scheduled for late March and early April in Gallatin, Knoxville and Oak Ridge.
“Transfer Tech to You is designed to meet prospective students where they are and show them how Tennessee Tech can help them take the next step in their educational journey,” said Mary McCaskey, associate vice president for enrollment and student success. “Our admissions counselors and recruitment team will be visiting community college campuses in Gallatin, Knoxville and Oak Ridge to share information about Tech and help students see just how simple it can be to transfer and earn their four-year degree as a Golden Eagle.”
Events are scheduled for March 30 at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, March 31 at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville (Hardin Valley) and April 1 at Roane State Community College in Oak Ridge.
All events run from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. local time. Prospective students are encouraged to stop by as their schedules allow between classes. Free refreshments will be provided.

Registration for the events is available at www.tntech.edu/transfertechtoyou. There is no cost to attend.
McCaskey added that transfer students should apply for admission by May 1 to be eligible for the “Flight to Tech” scholarship — guaranteed awards of up to $3,000 per year for transfer students who meet the minimum requirements.
“Students simply need to apply by May 1 and meet the eligibility criteria, and we’ll handle the rest,” McCaskey said. “It’s a meaningful way we can support transfer students as they work toward completing their four-year degree.”
