Tennessee Tech elevates fan experience with expanded concessions at new Tucker Stadium
As excitement builds around a new era of Tennessee Tech University football, Golden Eagle fans will soon have more ways to enjoy gameday at the newly renovated Tucker Stadium.
The new stadium’s expanded concessions will feature six food trucks, a new campus outpost of Cookeville’s iconic Cream City Ice Cream & Coffee House and national brands including Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Crumbl Cookies, Bojangles and Domino’s Pizza. Fans will get a first glimpse of the new offerings when the Golden Eagles welcome Monmouth University for the 2026 home opener on Aug. 29.
“We’re excited to give Golden Eagle fans an authentic, southern gameday experience in the new Tucker Stadium,” said Casey Fox, Tennessee Tech’s director of athletics. “We know that the team, led by Coach Wilder, is going to be at their very best. The team is getting a lot of national publicity with the program they have built. Now, we’re making sure every other element of the fan experience falls into place too. The energy in the stadium on Aug. 29 is going to be electric, and we can’t wait to share this moment with our Upper Cumberland community.”
The stadium’s new West Side will also feature a concession booth serving traditional football fare such as hot dogs, nachos, brats, fries, chicken sandwiches and popcorn, as well as a walk-in market offering snacks and beverages.
Cream City will welcome hungry fans at its spot along the concourse, alongside the national brands coming to the stadium.
“Cream City is a Cookeville institution, and we are thankful to owners and Tennessee Tech alumni Chris and Karen Savage for partnering with us to bring this local staple to the new Tucker Stadium,” Fox said.
In addition to the usual gameday fare, the West Side’s club level will offer an all-you-eat buffet with specially curated menu items and elevated options not found elsewhere on campus. Suite patrons can order off an all-inclusive menu from a dedicated attendant.
The East Side of the stadium will feature six food trucks: A Taste of Tad, WAWAS Teas, Southern Swirl, Get Smoked BBQ, The Birdfeeder and Southern Ice. Domino’s and a concession booth also will be available on the second level.
Based on fan feedback, Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services, Tech’s campus dining partner, also will offer alcoholic beverages in designated areas of the stadium for fans who are of legal drinking age.
Liquor, mixed drinks and wine will be available only in the suite and club levels of the new Tucker Stadium. Beer, cider and seltzer will be available in other areas of the stadium, with specific locations and offerings still being finalized. As part of Tech’s commitment to supporting local businesses, Chartwells will offer wines from DelMonaco Winery in Baxter, while local distributors TriStar Beverage of Cookeville and Cherokee Distributing in Algood will support beer, cider and seltzer offerings.
“We are committed to our family-friendly gameday atmosphere at Tennessee Tech,” Fox said. “As a reputable national concessions vendor, Chartwells is experienced in offering expanded food options and alcohol at stadiums across the country, which is what many Tech fans have asked for as we improve the value of the gameday experience. A Tech football game will continue to be an enjoyable event that the community and campus can be proud and comfortable attending.”
Chartwells employees involved in alcoholic beverage preparation or sales will complete both Alcoholic Beverage Commission Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) and ServSafe alcohol training. Eight dedicated photo ID checkers will staff four verification stations at home games. Fans who verify they are of legal drinking age will receive a wristband required to purchase alcoholic beverages.
The university also will implement a comprehensive safety plan that includes designated stop times for alcohol sales, additional private security staffing, a clear bag policy and a no-reentry policy.
Season tickets in the new Tucker Stadium are on sale now, while single game tickets will go on sale Aug. 3. Earlier this summer, the university announced that all premium suites in the stadium are already sold out for the 2026 season. Limited club-level seating remains available.
