University Convocation
University Convocation at Tennessee Tech University is a formal induction ceremony of the freshmen class and new transfer students each Fall semester into the academic community of the University. Just as the graduation commencement serves as a ritual marking the completion of study; Convocation is a ritual to signal the beginning of a college career. The University President, Provost (chief academic officer), senior administrators, and faculty preside over this ceremony, which prepares students for life at Tech.
