COVID-19 Reporting and Information • HEERF I, II & III

COVID-19 Information:
For Convocation on Tuesday, Aug. 17, the University will require masks for everyone when inside the Hooper Eblen Center. This applies to students, staff, faculty, and visitors. Masks will be available upon arrival.

Convocation at Tennessee Tech University is a formal induction ceremony of the freshmen class each Fall semester into the academic community of the University. Just as the graduation commencement serves as a ritual marking the completion of study; Convocation is a ritual to signal the beginning of a college career. The University President, Provost (chief academic officer), senior administrators, and faculty preside over this ceremony, which prepares students for life at Tech.
