Dr. Mestayer joined the Tech Communication Department in 2016 and has taught a variety of classes including COMM 2025 (Fundamentals of Communication), COMM 2090 (Interpersonal Communication), COMM 3080 (Communication & Effective Teamwork), COMM 3200 (Research Methods), COMM 4430 (Advanced Interpersonal Communication), COMM/JOUR 3030 (Principles of Event Planning), COMM 3040 (Risk Management for Events), and JOUR 4030/5030 (Event Management & Promotions)

 

She has an active research agenda with a particular focus on interpersonal, organizational, and instructional communication. She has published journal articles and book chapters, and regularly presents at regional and state conventions.
