The Elinor Ross CDF Freedom School,
a CDF Freedom Schools® partner, is a free, six-week literacy and cultural enrichment program for children in grades K-4th/entering 1st-5th qualifying for the free or reduced lunch program.
Hosted by Tennessee Tech and the College of Education.

Children engage in an exciting six-weeks of reading/literacy, enrichment activities, field trips, and family experiences.

    free books for children;

    90 hours of reading over the 6-weeks;

    activities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, art, music, dance, and fitness;

    field trips to a variety interactive learning centers, including the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, and more;

    breakfast and lunch provided daily;

    self-esteem and character-building experiences;

    opportunities for parent, family, and community involvement.
